UPDATE: Paper Clearance Letters Extended Until December 31 (July 17/19)

As you know, the new MyAccount will offer a fully digital clearance process, which will replace the need for paper-based clearance letters. 

Some employers have expressed that they need more time to adapt to this new process. 

We’ve listened.  

In order to fully understand the concerns raised, and ensure we get the process right, we are extending paper clearance letters further until December 31, 2019.  

In September, if you are in good standing with WCB, we will mail you your clearance letter, which will be honoured until December 31, while we work to address the questions and concerns we have heard.  

We are still moving forward with real-time digital clearance without a paper letter, however, we acknowledge that many stakeholders need more time to adapt to the new process. 

Please note, when accessing MyAccount, these clearance letters will not appear on your account to print. If you misplace your clearance letter, you will need to contact us to obtain a new copy at 1-800-870-3331.
