Jeff Brett was appointed to the Board of Directors of WCB Nova Scotia as a Worker Representative in April 2015. Jeff is a member of the Board’s Governance and Policy Committee as well as the Investment Committee.
Jeff has extensive experience and training in the field of health, safety and the environment. He is currently an OHS professional and holds the national designation of Certified Registered Safety Professional (CRSP). He has worked in the field for many years in government, labour and the private sector. He holds both an OHS Management and Environmental Management certificate from Dalhousie University.

Jeff has served on the boards of several organizations, such as Safety Services Nova Scotia, where he was the Chair, Vice-Chair Finance Committee, and Board Member from 2006-2015. Jeff served nine years on the Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Council to the Minister of Labour, working on both the Regulatory and Prevention Sub-Committees of the Council. Jeff is a Director of the Western Nova Scotia Chapter of the Canadian Society of Safety Engineers (CSSE), where he also served as Chapter Chair for two years.
Jeff lives in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
