Angus Bonnyman, CPA, CA, ICD.D was appointed to the Board of Directors of WCB Nova Scotia as an Employer Representative in March 2014. He is the Chair of the Finance Audit and Risk Committee, and a member of the Board’s Investment Committee, and Governance and Policy Committee.
Angus is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Acadia University. He also earned his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors through the Rotman School of Business.
Angus is an experienced and goal-oriented director, successful business owner, and talented and respected lecturer. Until recently, Angus was the Executive Director of the Christmas Tree Council of Nova Scotia (CTCNS), and subsequently managed the levy compliance program for CTCNS. He was a member of the faculty at Saint Mary’s University as a Lecturer of Accounting from September 2013 – June 2016.
Angus was appointed Treasurer of the Public Accountants’ Board of Nova Scotia in July 2013, and has served as Treasurer of The Marguerite Centre, Nova Scotia’s only recovery house for women recovering from addictions and abuse.
Angus spends his time between Halifax and Tatamagouche, where he is actively involved in the family business of growing wild blueberries and managing woodlands.
